Equity Share Stock Trading Tips Ideas for Tata Steel, RNRL, Vijaya Bank on 3rd December 2008

Following stocks are likely to be in the limelight today, December 3.

• Tata Steel, the world`s sixth largest steel producer, has posted a net profit of Rs 47,036.40 million for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2008, registering a growth of 3.15 times as compared to Rs 14,895.60 million in the same quarter, last year. It has also applied brakes on its greenfield projects at Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Shares of Tata Steel declined Rs 4.85, or 3.16%, to settle at Rs 149**.
• Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL), part of an ADAG company, on December 1, filed `chamber summons` to cross examine the under secretary in the petroleum ministry in the Bombay high court. Shares of RNRL gained Rs 0.65, or 1.62%, to end at Rs 41**.
• Force Motors announced that it will cut its stake position in the heavy commercial vehicle joint venture (JV) in MAN Nutzfahrzeuge to 50% from the current 70%. Shares of Force Motors gained Rs 4.15, or 7.17%, to end at Rs 62**.
• Vijaya Bank needs a capital infusion of Rs 18 billion from the government to keep its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) at the mandatory 12% as bank`s CAR is currently at 10.4%. Shares of Vijaya Bank gained Rs 0.25, or 0.86%, to end at Rs 29**.
• Hindustan Motors (HM) on December 3 launched a 1-ton capacity mini-truck produced under licence from Shandong Shifeng in the Shandong province of China. Shares of Hindustan Motors declined Rs 0.05, or 0.47%, to end at Rs 11**.
• Dabur India has decided to put the expansion plan of its newly launched retail arm on back burner. Shares of Dabur India declined Rs 3.2, or 3.77%, to settle at Rs 82**.
